quinn the mud dobber. okay, he doesn't sting, but he does dob in the mud. here, he was eating it.
today was a nice, slow day...allowing us to recover from the insanity yesterday. we putzed around the closet for a while, called my mom on skype, and then took the kids down to our favorite park. they both played energetically for about 40 minutes before they nearly collapsed in exhaustion. we then headed to cheung sing, the first restaurant we tried when we arrived two weeks ago. this is where i learned that i LOVE rice with egg and bbq pork...got that again today. after that, the kids and i skedaddled home for a nap while josh handled some apartment details for our new place.
this afternoon, josh took the kids out so i could have some down time. i headed out to a coffee shop to drink a mocha and read more of the book i'm into right now (The Slap) before i headed out to the wellcome to do some shopping for dinner tonight. i had time to put away laundry, put the groceries away, and cook us some din-din before the monkeys came back....it was delightful. i NEEDED that...wasn't quite the same as getting out with my friends in pville, but it was still a recharge.
