q, my dirt-loving boy, playing in the 1-foot square bit of dirt he found at our favorite park in happy valley. the aiyahs all cringe when they seem him doing this :-)

hiking lamma island

passed out in SOHO

first day or so...portrait of jet lag

2nd day or so...portrait of jet lag

illegal picture in a gov't run play place...it was only after i snapped this that i realized i wasn't supposed to take pics in the facility.

first (and possibly last) mexican meal in hong kong (SOHO area). it was nasty AND expensive :-(

bad pic in times square

one of our very best meals yet; scallops in chile sauce. note the coke zero!

micro living room in our current apt. i really need an aerial view, but trust me, it's TINY. that's the kids' bedroom to the right of the TV and our bedroom to the right of that. we can sit on our bed and watch TV!

other end of the micro living room. the TV is less than 2 feet to the left. that's our bedroom to the left of the suitcases.

micro kitchen...counter is about 18 inches deep. i can touch both walls that are on either side of the width of the kitchen with my arms bent.

just for peyton f....pic of the trams.

livie and quinn playing with a new friend. this is the girl we go to play with every weekday morning.

my favorite sign so far. i will keep this PG and not tell you all of the jokes i came up with when i first read this sign. i have yet to understand what it means. this is on lamma island; have not seen this sign on the trash cans on HK island.

hilarious, no? mcd's delivery...guess this is in lieu of the drive through.

view from lamma island

temple on lamma island. i would love to look inside the temples here; they are beautiful. i need to research customs/laws first, though.

  1. Awesome!!! So glad you posted pictures. You and the kids look wonderful, jet lag or not. That apartment DEFINITELY qualifies for MICRO! Loved it! Can't wait to see your new place... 2 days to go, right?

What does the trash can say directly about "SERVICE HOTLINE". Does it say something about the shaft?

Loved seeing Lamma Island again. Near the temples was where I found the BEST food. They had awesome vegetarian noodle dishes that the monks sold.
