today started off with q feeling MUCH better, so he got to do his trial class at http://www.wiseconcepts.com.hk/, a lego learning studio. he had a BALL.
after our brief and VERY stormy experience with q in preschool last fall, i truly expected to be getting a phone call 20 minutes into the hour-long session telling me to COME AND GET HIM. this was not the case. in fact, he enjoyed himself and did a great job...he was exceedingly reluctant to come home...as in screamed and cried the whole way home. i tried having the chat with him about how all the drama would result in him not getting to go to the class again, but at not-quite-3yo, he wasn't getting it. i am eager for him to enjoy himself in this class (we signed up), but am already dreading the end of the class and coming home.
other than the trial class, today was relatively low key. we had a quiet afteroon after sissy got home from school, and while we'd normally have headed down to the playground, we had to sit tight waiting for repair people to come fix a toilet. i swear this apartment is crumbling around us.
tomorrow, q and i will head over to the YWCA to sign both kids up for gymnastics classes. livie also will be starting back in flamenco class soon and will have a performance coming up in october. we will be very busy this fall...just the way i like it!
the kids played together pretty well this afternoon. here, quinn just plopped himself into livie's lap and started playing with her hair. he continues to be fascinated with hair, and now that he does not have his own long tresses to play with, he plays with mine and sissy's. we are still working on gentle touches.
